Castor Oil: Longer Hair, Fuller Lashes, Thicker Brows

Castor oil has been used as a medical agent dating back to 1550 B.C. when the ancient Egyptians would use it to treat eye infections. At your local drugstore, you can find Castor Oil in the laxative aisle. But don't be fooled, there is another beauty secret that every woman should know about. Derived from the seeds of the Castor plant (Ricinus communis), and packed with Vitamin E, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids, Castor Oil helps stimulate hair growth.  The Ricinoleic acid found in castor oil also helps diminish bacterial and fungal infection on the scalp that can cause hair loss! So grab your bottle from your local drugstore and start applying on your split ends, sparse lashes, and overplucked eyebrows!

Longer Locks: Castor oil is packed with omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, which accelerate blood circulation. Although you can heat up some castor oil and apply it to your hair directly, mixing it with a 1:1 porition of coconut oil may help cut the thickness and make it easier to apply. Just massage onto your scalp, put in a bun and leave in for an hour (or even overnight if you dare) and  then wash out! Yes, its oil, so you may have to wash it a few times to get the grease out, but trust me, it is worth it!

Castor oil is also incredibly helpful in treating dandruff since it has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. These properties in Castor oil fight the pathogens and micro-organisms that cause flakes and itchiness in your hair.  Just take one tablespoon of Castor Oil with Olive Oil and mix with juice from half a lemon. Apply the solution to your hair for at least half an hour, then wash out!

Is your issue split ends? Ain't nothin' castor oil cant fix. Apply the same solution as above to the ends of your hair for half an hour before showering and sooner than later, say bye bye to those split ends!

Fuller Lashes: We all want longer, fuller, thicker, darker lashes, but not everyone can opt for lash extensions, and by no means would I ever want to wear fake lashes every single day. Instead, start applying some castor oil to your lashes before bed. Just dab some onto your finger and rub onto your lashes. Go to sleep, and rinse away the next day! Within weeks you should see great results- surgery free!

Thicker Brows: As mentioned earlier, Castor Oil is high in omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids. So by rubbing some onto your brows each night before bed, the heat of your finger along with the ingredients in the castor oil with stimulate blood circulation and produce hair growth in sparse, overplucked brows.

The secret here is patience. Castor Oil is amazing, but not magic. You may not see a 2 inch difference in one week, but overtime, you will see a big difference in the length and health of your hair, lashes, and brows.

Other Benefits:
- Nourishes chapped lips
- Prevents stretch marks
- Helps treat mild acne
- Promotes healthy cuticles
- Boosts your immune system (cool, eh? The oil increases the number of white blood cells in your system)
